The Wilhelm Scream
Performer / Choreographer / Producer / Editor / Sound Engineer
The energy in the room became palpable.
Friend, choreographer, and frequent collaborator, Grayling Walker, invited Dana to share on a piece that was close to his heart at the beginning of his journey as a choreographer. He intended for this piece to visualize the anxiety, self-doubt and questioning one can experience at the start of something new.
Dana brought along collaborator David Bunzey, DP, to help provide camera direction for the shoot and collaborate on how to leverage a lackluster space. After one rehearsal, the three of them spent an evening running camera as Dana explored movement. The energy in the room became palpable as the three artists investigated the feeling of anxiety through dance and film.
