Artist Statement

I can’t point to a single moment. It happens so often that you create a process. You try to control it. Reclaim it. Punish yourself for it. And you perpetuate it. You don’t want to be the victim. You don’t want to be seen as weak or vulnerable; exposed. You don’t want to believe you’d let it happen to you, over and over again.

You don’t know to call it shame.
